Premium cat food brand Gussto is expanding its product range and looking to enter new markets in Asia, according to company leadership. The Poland-based brand, owned by Petro International Ltd, is best known for its grain-free, wet cat food made from high-quality ingredients.
Izabela Rojek, CEO of Gussto, said the company is currently developing new products, including a line of veterinary cat food designed to support cats with specific health conditions. “We are developing our Vet product line… These new products are already in production,” Rojek told Petfoodindustry.com.
While Gussto generates most of its sales in Poland, the company is actively growing its presence in international markets. “We are already present in China. It’s a very promising market,” Rojek said. She added that Chinese consumers appreciate the quality and European origin of Gussto products.
The company also aims to expand into India, one of the world’s most populous countries. “We also want to be present in the Indian market,” Rojek noted.
Gussto says its wet cat food is made entirely from fresh, high-quality meat sourced from organic farms within the European Union. The company uses a special steam-based production process, which it claims preserves nutrients, vitamins, and minerals while maintaining the food’s natural taste. The process meets the same high standards used in human food production, the company added.
As Gussto works to expand both its product offerings and its global footprint, it hopes to capture a larger share of the growing premium pet food market, particularly in Asia.
