Caroline, the person in charge of Baby Kitten Rescue in Los Angeles, adopted a sick kitten named Otter. At first, Otter not only suffered from respiratory tract infections, fleas and digestive problems, but also had difficulty moving due to his short legs. What is more serious is that the veterinarian diagnosed it with a rare meningoencephalocele – the brain tissue protrudes from the gap in the skull and is highly prone to injury or infection.
Facing unknown challenges, Caroline turned to the Facebook community for help. A fan voluntarily customized a protective helmet for Otter, which not only ensured safety but also made it look particularly cute. Although the helmet was a temporary solution, it bought time for the operation.
Ultimately, Otter successfully underwent head surgery. One year later, he was able to climb freely, completely getting rid of the helmet and ushering in a healthy and happy new life. This miracle created by the community’s relay of love has witnessed the power of life and care.
