A playful black cat named Kiki has gone viral after her unusual hiding spot left viewers laughing across the internet. In a TikTok video posted Monday by user @ninjalys322, Kiki was found lounging inside a McDonald’s bag, surprising her owner and amusing over 767,000 viewers.
The short clip begins with what looks like an ordinary fast-food bag on the floor. But when the owner opens it, Kiki is calmly resting inside, licking a napkin smeared with leftover sauce. “McDonald’s bag, and my Happy Meal!” the owner says with a laugh, capturing Kiki’s unexpected choice of nap spot.
Cats are known for hiding in odd places—whether it’s bags, boxes, or closets—and experts say it’s often normal behavior. According to Cats Protection, cats naturally seek out hidden spaces to rest. This instinct comes from their wild ancestors, who hid to stay warm, safe, and undisturbed during sleep.
Cats also use hiding as part of their play. When they’re in a playful mood, hiding can mimic hunting behavior—pouncing on toys or even feet that pass by.
