When volunteers from The Stray Cat Club received reports of a tuxedo cat and her kitten huddled near a park bench, they rushed to help. The pair, later named Meg and Mog, had been waiting for over 36 hours, according to local dog walkers.
“Both were starving but clearly accustomed to human companionship,” a rescue representative shared. “It’s heartbreaking to think they were abandoned, but we’re grateful they’re safe now.”
A Rough Start
Meg, the mother cat, was severely underweight from nursing while struggling to care for Mog, her kitten, who battled a cold and other health issues. After being brought into foster care, the duo received veterinary attention, proper nourishment, and a warm place to rest.
Meg’s True Personality Shines
Once indoors, the timid feline quickly revealed her playful, affectionate side. “Meg is shy at first but don’t let that fool you,” her foster carers noted. “After careful observation, she loves belly rubs, cozy naps, and ‘supervising’ her humans with endearing quirks.”
The prim-and-proper tuxedo cat takes meals seriously—her “impeccable table manners” amuse her caretakers—and thrives in a calm environment. Now retired from motherhood, she adores one-on-one attention, often following her foster family into the kitchen, standing on tiptoes for treats.
A Playful, Regal Companion
Meg’s favorite pastimes include:
Sunlit lounging: Perched on windowsills, watching the world go by.
Toy obsession: Batting at her favorites with lively energy.
Affection on her terms: Rolling onto her back, paws tucked, inviting gentle pets—but only when she initiates.
“She’s blossomed into the sweetest girl,” the rescue shared. “She’d thrive as an only pet, ruling her forever home with quiet charm.”
A Happy Ending Ahead
No longer the scrawny stray from the park, Meg has gained healthy weight and charmed everyone with her joyful spirit. Meanwhile, Mog is thriving separately, leaving Meg free to focus on her next chapter: finding a loving family to call her own.
