Majes, a pet food brand under Meta Pet Tech, has launched a new line of dog and cat food specifically designed for pets living in tropical climates—marking a first in the pet nutrition industry.
The innovative range aims to tackle common health issues pets face in hot and humid environments. These include skin infections, excessive shedding, digestive problems, and weakened immune systems, often caused by poor water quality and air pollution.
According to a survey conducted by the company among 1,000 pet owners in tropical regions, 47.2% reported their pets suffered from digestive issues or vomiting. Meanwhile, 36.5% observed frequent loss of appetite, 35.2% noted infectious diseases, and another 35.2% cited skin problems and allergies linked to parasites. Experts warn that without proper care, these conditions can severely affect a pet’s health and quality of life.
To address these challenges, Majes developed new recipes using its proprietary NutriLock Tech, a freeze-drying process that helps preserve the natural flavor and nutritional value of ingredients.
