Miner explained that the pair don’t often hang out together but that her 10-year-old cat is especially sweet. She began recording when she noticed her dog, Ollie, was looking out the window at birds and squirrels. “I saw she was trying to get his attention by walking back and forth, so I started recording because I thought she might do something cute,” Miner told Newsweek. “This was definitely a first, and I can’t believe I caught it on camera.”
While many believe cats and dogs are natural enemies, this moment proves otherwise. According to Dogs Trust, with proper introductions and time to adjust, cats and dogs can peacefully coexist—and even form strong bonds. They suggest giving each animal its own space and introducing them gradually to avoid fear or aggression.

Watching for signs of positive interactions, such as relaxed body language or mutual grooming, can indicate a strong connection—just like the one in Miner’s video.
