The TEARS Animal Rescue Cattery has reached full capacity, with a growing number of kittens, juveniles, and adult cats in urgent need of adoption.
While young kittens—under four months old—remain the most sought after, older cats often face longer waits for a home. Many juveniles, aged between four and 12 months, are especially well-suited for families with children, other cats, or cat-friendly dogs due to their adaptable nature.
Several of these cats have formed close bonds and have never experienced life in a home. Some have spent their entire lives in the shelter, waiting for a family.
With space running out, adopting a cat from TEARS not only transforms that animal’s life but also allows the rescue to help another cat in danger.
Homeless cats are exposed to serious risks, including extreme weather, starvation, and traffic accidents while searching for food. As colder weather sets in, the need for warm, safe homes becomes even more urgent.
All cats adopted from TEARS are sterilised by the organisation’s veterinary team, helping to reduce overpopulation and prevent future suffering.
TEARS encourages the public to consider adoption and give these cats a second chance at life.
