Olivia adopted an 8-week-old kitten named Felix. As a first-time cat owner, she quickly developed a deep bond with him. Felix is a clingy person. He always offers comfort to Olivia when she is in low spirits and has even developed a cute habit of accompanying her to the toilet.
However, Felix was diagnosed with the rare cancer “liposarcoma” when he was two years old. Olivia is faced with a difficult choice: chemotherapy or amputation. She first tried chemotherapy, but the effect was not good. Eventually, she took the risk of choosing amputation surgery. After the operation, Felix not only successfully got rid of cancer but also regained his former liveliness. Now, although he only has three legs, he still enjoys life happily.
Olivia, through her own experience, called on other pet owners: “If faced with a life-and-death choice, don’t hesitate to choose amputation.” The quality of life is far superior to the integrity of limbs. Nowadays, looking at Felix’s carefree appearance, she firmly believes that her decision has saved a precious life.
