In a shocking incident at Irinjalakuda on Sunday, a 79-year-old man was critically injured by his grandson following an argument over their missing pet cat. Kombath Keshavan, a resident of Edakulam, was admitted to Thrissur Medical College Hospital after being hacked by his grandson, Sreekumar, who was reportedly inebriated at the time.
The police have registered a case against Sreekumar, who used a kitchen knife in the attack. Despite the violent outburst, Sreekumar took Keshavan to the hospital himself.
