Celebrity chef Bobby Flay, known for his culinary expertise and multiple TV appearances, recently shared a heartwarming moment on the set of his show Bobby’s Triple Threat. Flay, who has made a name for himself with his restaurants and shows, is also known for his deep love for cats, which is reflected in his cat food brand, Made by Nacho. The brand is named after his beloved Maine Coon, Nacho, who passed away in 2023.
While filming, Flay took a moment to talk about his two tabby cats, Canelo and Stella, who he clearly adores. Between takes, he joked about being sure his cats were well-fed and expressed his love for them. “I just wanna make sure my cats get fed,” Flay explained, highlighting his commitment to his furry friends.
Flay also called out to his cats on camera, promising them their favorite meal: “Hi Canelo! Hi Stella! I’ll be home to feed you soon, so don’t worry. I know… fish. Yellowtail? You got it.” Fans quickly took to social media, praising the chef’s affection for his pets.
One follower commented, “You gotta love a man that likes cats. He’s very comfortable with himself,” while another added, “Love a good cat dad … this is awesome!” Fans also appreciated Flay’s priorities, with one saying, “He’s got his priorities straight! Lol!”
In addition to his love for Canelo and Stella, Flay recently honored his late cat, Nacho, by partnering with the Paws Crossing Animal Shelter in New York. To celebrate the occasion, Flay declared April 5 as National Nacho Flay Day, offering a 30% discount on all Made by Nacho products. He humorously shared on Instagram, “If Nacho were here, he’d say something like ‘It’s about time they named a holiday after me… though I was expecting a week.'”
It’s clear: if there were a “Cat Daddy of the Year” award, Bobby Flay would be the top contender!
