April, a five-year-old domestic short-haired cat, is currently residing in a foster home and is looking for a new family before the end of the month.
April finds traditional catteries too stressful, which is why she is being cared for in a foster setting. Known for her independent nature, she prefers a calm environment and enjoys playing with toys, exploring, and taking regular naps.
Though April has enjoyed attention in the past, she is not particularly fond of being fussed over now. Prospective owners should not expect a cuddly cat right away due to her more solitary personality.
The Suffolk Central Branch of the RSPCA, which is caring for April, has outlined some requirements for potential adopters. They recommend that new owners do not have other cats, dogs, or young children, and some experience with cats would be beneficial.
The RSPCA team remains hopeful that with the right care, April may eventually show more affectionate behavior, but they emphasize that this would be a bonus rather than an expectation.
