A Siberian cat named Nimbus has become a viral sensation after a TikTok video showed him racing across the room the moment he hears a treat bag shake.
Posted in March by user @nimbus_siberian, the video captures the fluffy cat zooming toward his owner as she asks, “Do you want a treat?” Nimbus responds with a loud, drawn-out meow before dashing in at full speed. The caption humorously reads: “The most important pit stop in his opinion.”
The clip, highlighting the cat’s dramatic reaction to snack time, has earned over 1.7 million views and more than 344,000 likes on TikTok. Comments from amused viewers poured in, praising both Nimbus’ speed and charm.
One user joked, “Me thinking that was a dog flying in there. That’s a fast cat!” Another added, “Nimbus is quite nimble! Man o man is he one handsome fella.”
Cats are famously independent animals and usually less responsive to their names than dogs. But as pet wellness site Pet Keen explains, cats can be trained using positive reinforcement—especially when treats are involved. “Cats easily understand cause and effect, and they’ll quickly understand that listening to you gets them delectable rewards,” the site notes.
