Rescued earlier this year by Kristine Seguin, Axel initially weighed a staggering 43 pounds (19.5 kilograms), four times the size of an average cat.
Seguin, speaking to CTV News Ottawa, shared Axel’s progress since February, revealing that he has already lost 10 pounds through a carefully managed diet and exercise regimen. Beyond shedding weight, Seguin emphasizes Axel’s improved quality of life, allowing him to enjoy being a cat again, with plenty of play and exploration.
