Police are investigating a suspected case of animal cruelty after parts of a cat’s body were found this morning in Chow Tin Tsuen, Lin Ma Hang Road, Ta Kwu Ling.
At around 10:13am, officers received a report about the remains of a cat discovered outside a village house. The cat’s head, tail, and front legs were found, but the rest of its body was missing. The case has been classified as “cruelty to animals.” So far, no arrests have been made.
A local woman who had been feeding the cat regularly found the remains when she went to offer food. Distressed by the discovery, she contacted a pet end-of-life service for help. Staff from the organization suspected the cat had been harmed deliberately and quickly called the police.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
