Kenzo Truffles, a fluffy Ragdoll cat, is going viral for an unexpected talent—he can bark like a dog. The short clip, just eight seconds long, has left viewers smiling and replaying it on repeat.
In the video, Kenzo’s brother, Giuseppe the Maine Coon, is nowhere in sight. This moment is all about Kenzo. With the sound turned up, viewers are treated to his soft but surprising bark, a sound more fitting for a small dog than a large, gentle cat.
The video, shared by their owner, quickly drew comments from amused fans. One user joked, “Your dog looks… weird, but that’s okay.” Another added, “He said, ‘myeh!’ [happy]!” Others chimed in with their own experiences: “My Ragdoll barks too!” and “My Ragdoll does this to the birds, chattering.”
The clip also sparked new interest in the Ragdoll breed. Known for their calm and affectionate nature, Ragdolls are large cats—males can weigh up to 20 pounds—and come in colors like blue, seal, chocolate, and lilac. Often called “gentle giants,” they are known for their intelligence and friendly demeanor, making them ideal family pets.
However, potential owners should be aware of some challenges. Ragdolls shed heavily and often groom themselves obsessively. They are also extremely affectionate—some might say clingy—which can be a plus for those who enjoy constant companionship but a downside for people seeking a more independent pet.
As one fan put it, “A clingy cat sounds good to us, but they’re definitely not for everybody!”
Whether or not Kenzo was barking at anything in particular remains a mystery. But one thing is certain: this sweet Ragdoll has won hearts with his charming voice and dog-like antics.
