Love Island USA star Kordell Beckham is trading villa romances for feline affection as the new ambassador of cat treat brand Temptations. The 22-year-old reality star fronts the brand’s “Cat Dads” campaign, celebrating men who proudly dote on their pets—and he’s doing it shirtless on billboards in New York City’s Times Square.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Beckham opens up about his bond with his rescue cat, Milo, and how treats helped shape their unbreakable connection.
From Shelter to Stardom
Beckham adopted Milo, an orange tabby, after the cat was found during a Dallas rainstorm and brought to a Farmers Branch, Texas, shelter. “He was a little scared at first,” Beckham recalls. “Now, he’s my little man. Everywhere I go, he goes.”
Their journey inspired Temptations to feature Beckham in its campaign, which humorously advocates for more “Cat Dads” in PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive issues. The billboards showcase a playful, shirtless Beckham cuddling Milo—a nod to the brand’s cheeky take on feline-loving masculinity.
Treats, Tricks, and Training
Beckham credits Temptations treats for helping train Milo, who now responds to commands like “sit” and “speak” (when he’s “not being stubborn,” Beckham jokes). “When Temptations asked me to partner with them, I said yes immediately,” he shares. “These treats helped shape Milo into the charismatic cat he is.”
Love, Cats, and Girlfriend Goals
The Love Island alum’s girlfriend, Serena Page, is also bonding with Milo during their visits. Though they’ve only met a few times, Beckham is confident they’ll grow closer. “I think they’ll really like each other,” he says.
Beckham admits being a “Cat Dad” adds charm but emphasizes the deeper reward: unconditional love. “Cats show their affection when they truly trust you,” he says. “Milo senses when I’ve had a bad day and flops over for belly rubs—that’s his way of comforting me.”
Birthday Bash and Future Plans
Though Beckham missed Milo’s first birthday while filming Love Island, he spoiled him afterward with toys, a cat tree (complete with a hammock), and, of course, Temptations treats. Now, the trio—Beckham, Milo, and Page—are focused on building their life together. “We just hit a milestone with Milo,” Beckham teases, hinting at more adventures ahead.
