John Travolta shared a heartwarming family moment on Saturday, revealing that his 10-year-old son, Ben, is now the proud owner of a fluffy new cat named Crystal.
The 67-year-old actor posted a photo on social media showing himself embracing Ben, who cradled the feline in his arms. Travolta simply captioned the sweet snapshot: “Ben’s new cat Crystal.”
The newest addition to the Travolta household quickly won over the family, including Ben’s older sister, Ella. The 20-year-old showed her approval by commenting on the post with three heart emojis.
A Year of Celebrations for the Travoltas
Earlier this year, Ella paid tribute to her father on his 67th birthday with a touching Instagram post. Alongside a family photo, she wrote: “Happy Birthday to the most incredible man I have ever known. You are not only the best Dad ever, but you are also my best friend.”
She continued, “Thank you for raising us, helping us, and loving us—and for all the good you do every day. The world is so lucky to have you, and so are we.”
The father-daughter duo also made waves in February when they starred together in a Scotts Miracle-Gro Super Bowl ad, recreating Travolta’s iconic hand jive from Grease. Ella later shared a clip of the commercial on Instagram, writing, “Let’s hear it for the dads who’ve still got it. It was fun dancing in the yard with @johntravolta.”
The Travolta family has remained in the public eye since the tragic passing of actress Kelly Preston, Travolta’s late wife and the mother of his children, in July 2020. Despite the loss, the family continues to share moments of joy—now with a new furry friend in the mix.
