Jenna Lyons’ home is a lively blend of career hustle, family time, and pet chaos. The Real Housewives of New York City star balances her reality TV commitments and business ventures with raising children alongside her partner, Cass Bird—and their menagerie of pets. Despite the summer’s lack of routine, Lyons prioritizes family dinners, extending the invitation to their three cats—Charlie, Rimba, and Roo—and their dog, Popeye.
“Excluding them wouldn’t feel fair,” Lyons tells PEOPLE. Now, she’s elevating shared meals with a whimsical Fancy Feast collaboration: eight human-and-cat dinnerware sets featuring her own watercolor sketches of her beloved felines.
Pets First, Then Family
Lyons admits her cats’ impatient mealtime antics dictate the household rhythm. “They can’t wait, so they eat first,” she says. The family then gathers, often amused by the cats’ quirky dining poses. “They get first dibs. We eat together, with the cats nearby—and Popeye just watches. It’s hilarious.”
Her bond with the animals is well-documented. In a September 2023 Instagram post, Lyons joked about Popeye’s penchant for stealing food—and coffee. “THIS is what an angel looks like,” she captioned, adding, “except he begs (my fault) and drinks my coffee. But LOOK AT HIM.”
From Dog Lover to Cat Convert
Though Lyons grew up with dogs, she’s now a self-proclaimed cat enthusiast, charmed by their “elegant” personalities. “We went from one tiny dog to three cats and a dog. My Instagram is just cats, cats, cats,” she laughs. “I finally understand cat ladies. They’re addictive.”
Dinner Parties—for Cats?
With RHONY Season 15 premiering in October, Lyons jokes that feline-focused gatherings might suit her hosting skills better than traditional dinner parties. “I love entertaining, but cooking while socializing? Disaster waiting to happen,” she says. “Cat dinner parties? Now that I could nail.”
Lyons’ Fancy Feast collection merges her love for design and pets—proof that in her home, everyone, furry or not, gets a seat at the table.
