NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Two helpless kittens, later named Squeak and Adele, were discovered crying in a backyard after being abandoned by their mother. Now, they’re thriving in foster care—where snuggles and sibling bonds are never in short supply.
A Desperate Cry for Help
While their home was under renovation, a Good Samaritan heard faint meows coming from the backyard. Upon investigating, they found a tiny, hoarse-voiced kitten—and another just a few feet away, near the bushes. With no mother cat in sight, the siblings were taken in by Nashville Cat Rescue, where they received round-the-clock bottle feedings.
“They were filthy, covered in fleas and dirt. It took multiple baths to get them clean,” foster parents Becca and Nathan told Love Meow.
From Orphans to Lap-Lovers
Once weaned, the fluffy duo—nicknamed “the snowballs”—moved into their foster home, where they quickly became inseparable cuddle bugs.
“Both are small for their age and comfort-nurse on blankets, a common behavior in orphaned kittens,” the couple explained. “But they’re healthy, social, and adore everyone they meet.”
The pair bonded instantly, seeking warmth in any available lap. One day, Becca walked in to find both kittens curled up on a sleeping Nathan.
Personalities Shine
Though nearly identical in their love for affection, the siblings have distinct quirks:
Squeak, a blue-eyed charmer, is particularly attached to Becca.
Adele prefers Nathan, often curling into a tiny ball beside him.
Both share a talent for synchronized meows when demanding attention.
A Bright Future Ahead
Now full of energy and curiosity, Squeak and Adele spend their days playing fetch, exploring, and cuddling with their foster brother, Phil.
“Squeak sprawls out like a little lion, while Adele tucks herself into a perfect circle,” the fosters shared. “They’re brave, playful, and utterly devoted to each other.”
From lonely backyard cries to endless laps and love, these two have found their happy ending—together.
