JB is a special cat. It entered its owner’s life at the most appropriate time and quickly integrated into the family. JB’s father didn’t expect at first that he would be so attached to an animal, but JB’s naughtiness and intimacy completely changed his mind.
JB was adopted from the Humane Association when it was two or three months old. As soon as it met, it showed a lively personality, liked to pat its owner’s ankles and crawl on his pants, but was extremely docile when picked up. Although a six-week-old newborn had just arrived at home, JB quickly adapted to the new member and even climbed into the crib voluntarily, becoming the best friends with the baby. The parents were pleasantly surprised to find that JB had never shown aggression towards their child; instead, she had become a perfect companion in the child’s growth.
JB has clear preferences for family members: he likes his father best, followed by the baby, and finally his mother. It likes to lie on its father’s shoulder, follow him around and seize his thigh. Although there are still two German Shepherds at home, JB regards himself as the “boss” and often occupies the dog bed or sofa. The dogs also “give him the respect he deserves”.
The arrival of JB made the owner deeply realize the preciousness of establishing a connection with animals. Its integration was so natural, as if everything was supposed to be like this. This special cat not only changed the cat father’s view of pets, but also brought endless warmth and joy to the whole family.
