NASHVILLE – Country star Miranda Lambert has added a new member to her household—an adorable stray kitten she couldn’t resist adopting.
The 31-year-old singer, a well-known animal advocate, shared the heartwarming news on Instagram alongside a photo of her cuddling the tiny feline. Lambert revealed that a friend discovered the kitten on an Arkansas highway and brought it to her—a gesture that quickly led to a permanent home for the rescued pet.
“When your friend [@harps226] comes to visit and says, ‘Oh, by the way, I picked up a stray kitten on the highway in Arkansas, and it’s in the garage,’” Lambert wrote, referencing her friend’s playful grin. “Guess who has a kitten now?”
Lambert, who founded the animal rescue organization MuttNation Foundation in 2007, has long been a champion for stray and abandoned pets. This latest addition continues her tradition of giving animals in need a loving home.
The post quickly drew delighted reactions from fans, with many praising her big heart—and joking that she might just give fellow cat enthusiast Taylor Swift a run for her money.
