Three Ragdoll cats became unlikely internet stars after a video captured their over-the-top reaction to a crinkly bag that didn’t contain what they expected—treats.
Posted by @ragdollquad on TikTok, the viral video shows the cats lounging on the floor, visibly annoyed, some flicking their tails in frustration. The source of their dismay? Their owner had opened a bag of cashews—for herself.
The familiar sound of a crinkling snack bag had tricked the cats into thinking it was treat time. But when they realized the bag wasn’t for them, the dramatic fallout began. One by one, they collapsed in exaggerated despair, flopping to the floor like stage actors mid-tragedy.
The video, set to Sarah McLachlan’s emotional ballad Angel, only added to the humor. Viewers quickly flooded the comments with laughter and mock outrage on behalf of the cats.
“Total neglect and abuse,” one user joked. “Poor malnourished souls, clinging to life with each and every labored, excruciating breath!”
