A tiny, four-week-old ginger tabby was discovered alone behind a shed in a neighbor’s yard. When Kelly spotted the helpless kitten, she immediately stepped in to save him.
Without his mother, the kitten needed urgent care, including bottle feeding and shelter. Kelly rushed him to a local veterinary clinic, where staff contacted Best Friends Felines, a cat rescue organization. Volunteers quickly placed the kitten, later named Aris, into a loving foster home.
Aris’s Journey to a Forever Home
Confident and sociable, Aris quickly bonded with his foster family. “He’d trot right up to people and playfully wrestle with older foster kittens,” Best Friends Felines told Love Meow. Despite his small size, he acted like a “big boy,” chasing toys, scaling cat towers, and cuddling up to his caregivers with loud purrs.
Kelly, who had found him on Christmas Day, followed his progress closely. Inspired by his story, she became a foster volunteer herself—only to realize she couldn’t part with the spirited orange tabby.
From Foster to Forever
As Aris grew, his striking blue eyes turned golden, and his playful antics won Kelly over completely. She officially adopted him, introducing him to her other cat, Po. The two became inseparable.
Now fully grown, Aris is a bundle of energy and charm. “He’s sweet, curious, and obsessed with water—he’ll dip his paw into any unattended glass,” Kelly shared. His quirky habits, like drooling when happy and scaling screen doors to greet visitors, keep his family endlessly entertained.
A Perfect Match
Aris’s lively personality reminds Kelly of her late dog, Bronx, from his head-booping playfulness to his affectionate nature. “He’s the perfect addition to our home,” she said.
What began as a rescue mission turned into a lifelong bond. Thanks to Kelly’s kindness, Aris now enjoys a life full of love, mischief, and endless zoomies—proof that one small act of compassion can change lives.
