Milo, an 8-year-old cat once confined to a bathroom due to litter box issues, has blossomed into an affectionate companion after being rescued and placed in foster care.
Originally living with a family since kittenhood, Milo was found covered in filth after being isolated due to his struggles with the litter box. A concerned family member intervened, taking him to a veterinary partner who then connected with Saving Stevie, a rescue organization.
“It didn’t take long for Milo to realize he was safe,” said Clare, his foster mom, in an interview with Love Meow. Though initially wary at the clinic, Milo quickly warmed up in his new environment. With gentle chin scratches and reassurance, his tense posture softened, and his purrs grew louder.
A New Lease on Life
Milo’s transformation was swift. Once withdrawn, he became a constant source of purrs and kneading—earning him the nickname “the biscuit maker.” His favorite pastime? Curling up in Clare’s arms while she works.
“He’s the most adorable little coworker,” Clare joked. “He’ll rest his paw on my hand or snuggle against my arm as if helping me type.”
Despite previous concerns about his litter box habits, Milo has had no issues since arriving in foster care. Rescuers believe his earlier struggles stemmed from stress rather than behavioral problems.
Searching for a Forever Home
Now thriving, Milo greets each day with enthusiastic cuddles and rumbling purrs. “He loves hugs, pets, and simply being near someone,” Clare shared. Saving Stevie is now seeking a permanent home where Milo can receive the unconditional love he craves.
“His ideal family will be one that never leaves him behind a closed door again,” the rescue added.
Despite his past hardships, Milo has proven that a little love can go a long way—transforming a once-neglected cat into the ultimate snuggle companion.
