A stray kitten was recently discovered in a box on a busy stretch of Glasgow Road. Eyewitnesses stated that the box was placed in a conspicuous spot by the roadside, with the kitten curled up inside and appearing weak.
The kitten has since been handed over to a local animal welfare organization by the citizen who found it. Staff members said the kitten showed no obvious external injuries but required further health checks and care. The organization appealed to the public to report any acts of animal abandonment promptly, emphasizing that pet ownership entails lifelong responsibility. Random abandonment not only harms animals but also violates social ethics.
Police and animal protection authorities have (intervened) in the case and will investigate the abandonment. Follow-up developments will be continuously monitored.
