Recently, a Scottish Fold cat named Phoebe has drawn attention due to its special bond with its father. Although her mother is responsible for feeding and taking care of her, Phoebe clearly prefers her father – she likes to sleep curled up beside his beard and even “monopoles” his arms. If her mother disturbs her, she will pat her hand away. However, the mother joked that although she was a “cat owner”, Phoebe would still actively ask for attention when her father was not around, and occasionally coquettishly remind her, “Don’t work for too long.”
Phoebe’s mother admitted that at first they kept a cat just for responsibility, but Phoebe taught her unconditional love. Animal behavior experts point out that a cat’s “preference” may stem from personality, interaction patterns or even childhood experiences, such as Phoebe’s attachment to her father’s beard. Every cat has its unique preferences, and Phoebe and her family have interpreted this sweet “unequal” love with humor and tolerance.
