In May 2025, a cat named Buddy from Michigan, USA, was found to have become the “lobby manager” at a McDonald’s 16 kilometers away. The cat had gone missing from home three years ago and had been showing up at the fast – food restaurant every day on time to beg for food.
Buddy was originally a domestic cat. But three years ago, for some unknown reason, it left its home and started a new “life” at a McDonald’s. Regular customers at the restaurant said that Buddy was very sociable, just like a “people person”. It was not afraid of strangers at all and would actively approach customers to ask for food.
Over time, it became a regular at the McDonald’s and was even regarded as the store’s “mascot”. The staff also liked Buddy very much and would often give it some food. Buddy seemed to have found its own “paradise” at the McDonald’s and lived a carefree life.
