NEW YORK CITY — Finn, a six-year-old ginger tabby with striking crossed eyes and a freckled nose, was left behind when his owners moved away. But his luck changed when Greenpoint Cats, a local rescue group, stepped in to give him a second chance.
From Abandoned to Adored
Finn quickly won over his rescuers with his affectionate personality and playful antics. “It was love at first sight,” the rescue shared. Placed in a loving foster home, the sweet-natured tabby transformed into a devoted lap cat, purring his way into hearts.
“He’s a quiet companion who loves lounging within arm’s reach—preferably on a lap or chest,” his foster family said. Unlike some cats, Finn remains unfazed by household bustle, happily coexisting with humans, other cats, and even dogs.
A Playful, Food-Loving Charmer
Finn’s playful energy defies his middle-aged status. Whether batting at wand toys or “helping” in the kitchen (by scavenging fallen crumbs), he brings joy to every moment. “He meows insistently at mealtime and guards his bowl with comical growls,” his fosters joked.
Despite his crossed eyes, Finn navigates the world with ease—his unique gaze only adding to his charm. He thrives on companionship, whether cuddling at night (complete with light snores) or bonding with his feline and canine housemates.
A Hopeful Future
Though initially expected to be a short-term foster, Finn has spent months waiting for his perfect match. “He was unlucky once, but now he deserves a family who’ll cherish him forever,” the rescue said.
