A woman who had been feeding a stray cat was taken by surprise when the feline showed up one day with five tiny kittens in tow, melting hearts across the internet.
TikTok user @lady.yappington shared the heartwarming moment in a video that has since gained over 270,000 views and nearly 42,000 likes. In the clip, she explains that she had been feeding the stray, later named Toady, for several months. Toady had become pregnant, and on this particular day, she returned—not alone, but with her entire litter.
“I’ve been feeding a stray cat for the past few months… she had her babies and today she finally brought them,” she says in the video. Footage shows the five kittens huddled close to their mother, who appears calm and proud.
Clearly touched, the woman adds, “Thank you for trusting me with your babies. I can’t believe you brought them to see me.”
Toady and her kittens have now found shelter in the woman’s garage. She has also taken them to the vet for deworming, and all appear to be in good health. Three of the kittens are male, and two are female. However, some viewers noticed Toady’s still-swollen belly and raised concerns she might be pregnant again. Thankfully, the cat has a spay appointment scheduled to prevent future litters.
Experts say Toady’s behavior isn’t unusual for cats that develop trust in humans. According to Cats Protection UK, if you find a stray cat with kittens, it’s best to observe from a distance first. If the mother is present and the kittens are healthy, it’s likely she’s caring for them. But if the kittens seem unwell or in danger, contacting an animal welfare group is recommended.
The organization also advises trying to determine if the cat is truly stray. One method is to place a paper collar on the cat with a message asking any potential owner to get in touch. If no one responds and the cat seems homeless, arranging for vet care and possible rehoming is the next step.
The comment section of the video quickly filled with support for @lady.yappington and admiration for Toady’s trust. “She’s rewarding you with the babies,” one commenter wrote.
“To have a cat trust you enough to bring her kittens to you is the biggest compliment ever,” added TikTok user Alex Lane.
“They’re literally babies. Thanks for saving them. Made my morning,” said another viewer, Daniel.
For many, the video serves as a gentle reminder of the bond that can form between humans and animals—even those born in the wild.
