DAILLY, South Ayrshire — A local couple has submitted plans to build a cattery next to their home in the Ayrshire countryside.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Kennedy are seeking planning permission to develop a 14-pen cat boarding facility at their family home, ‘Woodside,’ located near the village of Dailly.
The proposal, prepared by Mauchline-based MG Architectural Services, includes the new boarding pens and associated site work. According to a design and access statement, the cattery will be built as an extension to the existing property.
“The design concept is to create an extension to house 14 cat boarding pens,” the statement reads. “It will be designed to blend with the rural surroundings and respect the countryside setting.”
The Kennedys have lived at Woodside since 2015, gradually updating and improving the property. The proposed cattery would use an existing shared access road connected to the C44.
The application is currently under review by South Ayrshire Council.
