A pregnant cat that survived an attack in northeastern Ohio has been given a new lease on life, finding a safe home and a meaningful name. The feline, discovered injured in a residential area, was rushed to a local animal shelter where vets treated her wounds and confirmed she was expecting kittens.
Staff at the shelter named her “Hope” to symbolize her resilience after the ordeal. “Despite the trauma, she’s been incredibly gentle, even while protecting her babies,” said a shelter volunteer. Hope and her newborn kittens now reside in a foster home, where they receive round-the-clock care.
