After the wildfires raged in Hawaii, the local humanitarian association rescued 220 wild cats that were difficult to adopt. The Lanai Cat Reserve came to the rescue by taking in these cats and exchanging the sociable ones with the shelter to optimize the allocation of resources.
The reserve is known as “a paradise for cats”, with an outdoor enclosure of over 800 cats, providing safe activity Spaces and regular veterinary care. As there are no veterinarians on the island, the team flies every week to sterilize and treat the cats. The newly arrived wild cat has successfully integrated into the group after undergoing a health check.
To maintain its operation, the reserve offers services such as sponsoring cats and customizing nameplates, and holds activities like yoga and stargazing. It is open to the public for free. They promised never to refuse local cats and called on the public for support.
