Recently, a kitten named Mimosa was abandoned on the campus of a university in the United States. It shouted for help loudly but received no response until a woman and her niece heard the crying and offered help.
At that time, Mimosa was hiding in the bushes near the football field, thin, dirty and full of fleas. Although the school authorities were aware of its existence, no action was taken. The rescuers waited patiently for 45 minutes and finally got Mimosa to accept the help and took her home to care for her.
Mimosa’s mother said that this was her first time to rescue a kitten in the wild. Although she had rescued other cats before, Mimosa was her first orange cat. She was lively, talkative and clingy, and even “ordered” her mother to go to bed on time. The other cats at home also showed curiosity about the new member and quickly adapted to each other’s presence.
Nowadays, Mimosa has grown up healthily and become an indispensable member of the family. This story also reminds people that when encountering lives in need of help, it might be a good idea to stop and perhaps change their destinies.
